If you're having a small wedding, here are some favorite ideas for the wedding.
First of all, capitalize on the smallness of the event. Get everyone involved. Assign everyone a part whether it is singing a song (solo or in a small group), doing a reading, lighting candles, etc.
Next, consider that you can get away with more with a small group than you could if you had a larger audience. Think about having a Hawaiian theme and having your guests dress up in Hawaiian shirts. People would feel silly complying with this request if there were 500 people coming and it was held in a formal church. But, with a garden wedding with 30 or so people, you could easily pull this off.
Third, keep the ceremony short. This way, you'll have lots of one on one time with the people who matter -- your guests.
Finally, think about all of the benefits of having a small wedding -- including the chance to just be with the people who matter to you most.
